Main Requirements
Experience working with elderly people is an advantage, but for a companion for a senior person, the key qualities are empathy, attentiveness, and kindness. We value those who can listen, hold a conversation, and create an atmosphere of trust and calm.
Responsibilities
A housekeeper-companion or carer for elderly parents provides daily support and comfort in the home.
Main responsibilities include:
- warm communication and emotional support;
- accompaniment and shared walks;
- planning the person’s leisure activities;
- following medical recommendations (reminding about medication, monitoring daily routines);
- assisting with everyday matters;
- maintaining cleanliness and order at home.
Additional Services
Depending on the family’s needs, a housekeeper-companion or a carer-companion may perform additional tasks of different types:
For a housekeeper-companion:
preparing home-cooked meals, laundry and ironing, caring for the home, shopping for groceries and cleaning supplies.
For a carer-companion:
assisting with medical procedures, measuring blood pressure, monitoring medication intake, and giving injections (if qualified or medically trained).
This approach allows you to choose the type of support that best fits your family’s needs — from light household assistance to professional elderly care.
